Todd J. Krouner founded the Law Office of Todd J. Krouner, P.C. in October 1994 and for the past quarter century has worked on a diverse range of plaintiffs’ litigation matters. He obtained a verdict of $7.25 million, which is the largest verdict ever for a case involving LASIK medical malpractice, Schiffer v. Speaker. Mr. Krouner obtained the second largest verdict of $5.4 million, including a record $3 million for his client’s pain and suffering alone, against another LASIK provider. To date, nationwide, Mr. Krouner has successfully tried or settled nearly three dozen LASIK, or related eye, negligence cases.

In settling an asthma-related medical malpractice claim against Jamaica Hospital Center for $1.8 million, Mr. Krouner also obtained an extraordinary decision permitting punitive damages against the hospital. Mr. Krouner has also prosecuted medical malpractice cases involving hysterectomies, delayed cancer diagnosis, plastic surgery and breast reduction cases, and birth injuries, among others.

He has enjoyed similar success in cases involving employment discrimination, discrimination in education (Title IX), and civil rights violations, including police brutality (Section 1983).

Mr. Krouner has also brought consumer fraud claims against LASIK providers, and served as a co-lead and liaison counsel in a consumer class action against Cablevision arising from its Fox Television blackout in October 2010.
